How to share photos of your child safely online
Dr. Mohamed Eltorki earned his MD from the University of Alexandria, Egypt in 2007 and completed his rotating postgraduate internship with the Alexandria University Hospital Network. Upon relocating to Canada in 2009, he spent a year focusing on gastroenteritis research at the Hospital for Sick Children Emergency Department. In 2010, he began his pediatric residency training at the Hospital for Sick Children in Toronto. In 2013, he headed west to Calgary for his subspecialty training in pediatric emergency medicine at Alberta Children’s Hospital and the University of Calgary. He joined the Division of Pediatric Emergency Medicine at McMaster University in 2015 and was promoted to Assistant Professor in 2019. Dr. Eltorki has contributed to many research initiatives since the start of his career, including studies investigating practice pattern variation, emergency medicine research ethics, constipation, laundry detergent exposure, and a large-scale quality improvement study following an E. Coli outbreak in Alberta. Currently, Dr. Eltorki is primary investigator for two studies on pain and suspected appendicitis as well as a study on asymptomatic COVID-19 transmission. He is co-investigator for two studies on child and adolescent mental health, and site investigator for a study on nasal suctioning and bronchiolitis.
